Good News for Sake lovers!!The annual event, “Fukui Spring New Sake Festival” will be held on March 23rd (Sat) from 13:30 ~ 17:00 this year 2019 at Fenix Plaza in Fukui City. (Entry door close at 16:00) It will be the 11th Anniversary this year and more than 2000 people enjoyed fresh sake presented by local 24 breweries last year.
It will cost you 2,500 yen at the entrance or you can buy pre-ticket for 2,000yen at Family mart convenience store (Fami port machine) and local sake stores until Mar. 22nd .
At the entry, you will receive a small souvenir glass and you can try the fresh sake of each breweries freely with this glass for the day, although some of the drinks like the sake cocktails and snacks will cost you extra. They also sell special limited bottled sake, sake cups and sake snacks for souvenirs.
The rules state that no food can be brought in but better to bring bottled water or you will be on a line of water server all the time. Once you enter with the ticket, you can freely go in and out during the event hour by showing the half ticket or the glass at the entrance.
・People are usually well behaved, and a very few people overdrink or get helped at the first-aid.
・There will be an English-speaking staff at the information corner and you can ask for any help if needed.
The other rules are as follows.
- -Not allowed to enter if: Age under 20 or Driving any vehicle.
- Train and entry ticket is also available at each train station.
- -Fukui Train one day free ticket + Festival entry for 2,450 yen
- -Echizen Train one day free ticket + Festival entry for 2,800 yen
